I made the corned beef and cabbage also, for the first time. I thought it was just edible. I wouldn't want to make it any other time in the year! But for St. Patricks day it was fun.
Ditto. Your display looks lovely though.
I completely agree with the just edible thing. Somehow I remember it so much tastier growing up, but then maybe the once-a-year thing helped us to anticipate it.
